A Social Media Checklist Can Save You Lots Of Time!

Do you ever get to that point where you feel you might have fallen out of the loop? Lately I have with regards to social media. I’ve been focusing my attention on my marketing efforts that I am finding it more challenging to getting around to my social sites and groups. Do you feel that it is sometimes difficult to stay consistent with your sharing and engagement? I came across this infographic from Whole Brain Group. It was shared by Steve Shoemaker on his blog and I found it intriguing. There are hundreds of infographics out there and it is easy to pass them up. Take a moment and really look at this one. It is a keeper!

This infographic is called, The Sensible Social Media Checklist for Businesses and I found it to be of great value and an inspiration for me to go through this  checklist and “create a consistent social media internet marketing presence on multiple channels.” Of course you still have to decide whether you can make the rounds using all platforms, or to focus on the ones that are the most important to you.  Whole Brain Group has also provided a printed version in PDF format if you want to use it as a resource. I think it will help you if you are discovering your time can be spent more productively and it’s a great share!

I’d love to hear your comments and sharing it with others will help them too! I know there are so many marketers out there that have the same scenario of working consistency into their daily tasks.

This Social Media Checklist includes Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and Google+.

Whole Brain Group suggests:

  1. Thanks for sharing that infographic Raena. I think it’s a wonderful checklist. I might even consider printing it out and laminating it. I have a similar routine, but since it’s not in writing…I tend to not follow it every single day.

Great Infographic!!!! I love it cause it sticks with the most important social media platforms and gives you some simple outlines for working with them! I love creating my videos on YouTube. I am not a big one for Twitter and didn’t realize I should be tweeting 3 times a day!

Thanks for sharing! Wonder if I could get permission to share that infographic on one of my blog posts?

    Take Care,

      Hi Jim,

It’s good to see you! One of the main reasons I like this particular infographic because it spotlights the top platforms as you noted. I provided a link directly to The Whole Brain group for their PDF download. I’m sure there isn’t a problem getting permission because it draws traffic to their site.

Raena: What a fantastic infographic checklist! Not only is it bright and visually appealing but it is also extremely practical and filled with useful tips…love it! I downloaded a copy for my own use. It does seem to be so easy to feel out-of-the-loop if you step away from social media for even a brief time. Things constantly change, usually for the better, allowing more integration and a greater presence online. Never fear! As many changes occur, there are just as many resources available to assist your efforts to leap back into the social media madness! Thanks so much for sharing the creative checklist and have a wonderful weekend!

I have always been a fan of those pictorial type of directions for assembling bookcases and such. I found it easier to understand what I was supposed to do if I could see a picture of it.

This infographic makes it simple to understand, simple to follow and is not so difficult that it will take up your entire day and night trying to get some social media love.

Thank you for sharing it, it makes a lot of sens when you think about it this way. 🙂

  8. Love the infographic! Missing some time on Social Media can get you “lost in space” Taking a short time to visit three times a day is the way I do it.

I used to spend more time on it, but with all the Marketing learning curves and follow up emails, Yikes… I have to be strictly regimented.

    Thanks,
    Donna

Brilliant resource – thank you so much for sharing it. Social media is a funny thing really, isn’t it? I know it needs consistency and predictability in terms of with frequency and type of updates, yet, it is so difficult to stick with with so many other things demanding my attention.

This is a great infographic / checklist that can help me stay on track.

  13. Hi Raena Lynn, that’s the most useful infographics I’ve seen! Most of them are just pics, but don’t allow you to track like that one. You could put a plastic slide over it, and tick the slide for each day, rather than marking the infographic. That way, it will be useful for a long time.

    Thanks very much! Julieanne

Hey Raena..nice post indeed but as far as I know organic visits are more valuable that the refferral visits coming from the social networking websites.
Pls correct me if i am wrong.

      Hi Shiwangi,

I completely agree that organic visits are by far more valuable, however, the purpose of your social media activity is to connect, bond and develop relationships which will become an organic source. This checklist is to help make the process more efficient and keep it fun! It is important to always seek and stay engaged with new friends and fans!

Skype Traffic Ninja is a new platform, but as I was commenting for someone else, the method is not new. It works and the bottom line is you can generate much more traffic for a lot less money. It’s a great listbuilding tool and beginners can start right away!
