This just shows how driven I am!

Spread the love

I’ve been on this computer since 6:15 am and it is now 9:03 pm Pacific Time. My back is killing me and I want to go to sleep but I can’t. I’m trying to solve a problem and I can’t! I’m learning Word Press and I get that it has a wonderful interface, but when you are new…I can pull my hair out. I feel like I’m not getting it although I know I’m getting it.

This is a practice post so I’ll see how it looks on the other side!

Hi Raena, I am SO with you on the WordPress thing! I have (after multiple times) decided to stay with Blogger. It is so much more user friendly for me because I am too impatient. Now, I COULD try to figure out WordPress, and I have told myself time and time again that I will just stick with a simple template and not make any changes, but I am too much of a custom chick. I also have too much going on to learn it all right now, although I do want to. The learning curve is just too steep for me at this time, and I have lost many hours of sleep. However, I give you KUDOS for pushing through and it looks like you are doing a fine job! I will do it one day…just not now. I know it is a wonderful interface, too, and so many people like it. Hang in there!

Hi T.K. Goforth (The Chick of All Trades),
Thanks for your comments. It is greatly appreciated!

  2. Hang in there Raena, I taught myself WordPress – in fact built my blog from basic templates. Even though I also had plenty of those days where I struggled trying to learn, I don’t regret a minute of it because I feel so much more confident about how to manage my blog and I know it’s going to be SO much easier the next time.

      Hi Marty,

This was my first post when I started my blog:) I left it on so I can recall the starting pains. You are right. The initial launch takes a lot of effort, time, and tears! It’s worth it and I love learning new strategies, plug ins etc. I still have a long way to go! Thanks:)
