Vote For Raena Lynn For Top 50 MLM Blogs 2012

Spread the love

Last year was the first time I entered the Top 50 MLM Blogs Contest sponsored by MLSP.  I decided to enter again this year because I found it to be a worthwhile experience and I met a bunch of new bloggers!  I created a post last year after the voting so I would like to re-post it because it reflects on the appreciation I had for my friends who voted. I’m entering again and would GREATLY APPRECIATE if you can take a minute with a quick click and comment. I created a short video on how to vote. This contest is based on the amount of votes received, so if I want to place higher than last year, I need my friends to help me out.  When I read this post, I am amazed how much has changed…it’s been a fantastic year…all for the good! Below the video is last years thoughts.

I entered the Top 50 MLM Blogs Contest 2011 sponsored by MLSP and I made it in the top 50!

My blog ranked #42 and when the contest results were released by George Fourie of That MLM Beat, I remember scrolling through the list feeling pleased and proud every time I saw one of my colleagues. I didn’t make the top 10, or 20, or 30 but as I scrolled through the results, I remember feeling YES! when I hit #42. Quite honestly, I was shocked that I made the list.

This Is The First Year I Entered the Top 50 MLM Blogs Contest!

I am so glad I did! I made the rounds and voted as much as I could to support as many people as I could. I had the opportunity to see some of the best, high caliber blogs on the internet! I learned about some of the things I’ve been doing incorrectly but some of the things I’ve been doing effectively on my blog.

I am proud of my rank in the blog contest because everything is relative. As an example, if I had entered last year and I was in the top 10, ranking #42 this year would have been a disappointment if I didn’t have a positive, “everything is relative” attitude. I cannot say that it doesn’t matter how well you do. What matters is your attitude you choose to have in any situation. Ray Higdon’s blog ranked in the top spot and that is awesome. He deserves it and everyone who ranked deserves it. Instead of comparing yourself to the other bloggers, the important thing is having an awareness of knowing that all is relative and accepting “where you are at” is healthier. There is a sense of peace when we have an acceptance that everything is relative instead of making comparisons.

We could compare ourselves to the others who participated and didn’t make the top 50 mlm blogs contest. Or we could compare ourselves with those who didn’t participate at all. Why? My point is when we compare, our perception is, there will always be someone or something better or bigger “above” and someone or something lesser or smaller “below.” Comparing yourself to either end of the scale can cause insanity. Leave comparisons to products!

I’m Proud Of My Blog!

Focus on where you are and work on moving forward and progressing. Every day as you work your tasks, you move closer and closer to the goals you have set for yourself and your business. You can be proud of your friends who do well, and help a friend in need, and don’t compare, just challenge yourself to move forward and be grateful for what you have and where you are.

I Want To Say THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO VOTED FOR MY BLOG.

I am very proud of myself and very proud of everyone who entered and ranked and everyone who participated. If you didn’t participate this year, take the plunge next year. That is a step in a positive direction.

      Hi Sarah,

Thanks for your vote for the Top 50 Blogs contest. This is a fun competition. In my post I mentioned I placed #42 last year and I was thrilled. My goal this year is to step up the ladder to a higher position and I am confident I will do it. I mentioned earlier that it is quite a challenge to beat the top competitors, and that is fine with me. The value of this competition is more about meeting new bloggers and taking the opportunity to see what other bloggers are doing. One of the things I changed on my blog last year because of the competition was reducing the “advertising” on my blog. I did not eliminate it completely, but reduced it because I was a beginner and I thought having a lot of banners was what I was supposed to do. I realized that the top bloggers don’t have to have advertising plastered all over their blog. You have an excellent blog and yours is a prime example of superior attraction marketing. Your blog has recommendations and an optin for someone to subscribe, and receive your “Free Guide to Successful Business Blogging.” You provide tons of quality content and it’s clean, sleek, and professional. I am working on making more changes on my blog so I can describe it as I’ve described yours. I plan to change my theme to Thesis next year (which is only a dozen days away) and create a new, clean look. Have a wonderful holiday season and a prosperous 2012!

I know what you mean Raena just being happy you made the list at all. I’ve been there for sure.

Well you know I’ve already voted for you and will share your post as well to hopefully get you some more support.

I can appreciate those who have a huge backing because once again, this is where those relationships come in handy. I’ll help you if you help me so maybe this is yet another lesson people need to learn because we do try to hammer it into their heads ya know! Friends helping friends right!

I’m going to wish you the best of luck again this year Raena and you’ll definitely beat your last year’s position. Hopefully we can move you much higher up that ladder.

      Hi Adrienne,

Well, two more days to go and it’s over. You know I already appreciate all of your support, and I believe that the only reason I’ve been able to up my position is the relationships I have developed this past year. That’s what it’s about and some people still don’t get it. Any shout out to your followers would be appreciated. I started promoting earlier this year, but most of my votes have come by personally contacting each person, one by one. The groups help, but I need to develop my reach, so that will be one of my 2013 goals. You’ve given me some great tips and I will implement them. I’ve voted for every blog in the contest, and there are over 80. None of them come close to the engagement level (i.e. comments and syndication) to your blog. D, S, and S are not far behind! Thanks for everything you do for me and everyone you meet. You are an incredible person and I feel fortunate we met and I love the way our group came together this year. We will support you on your upcoming product and it would be an honor to help you promote it when you are ready for your launch. Happy holidays and a very prosperous 2013!

  7. You are so awesome Raena!

Of course I voted for you my friend! I have been receiving so many requests for voting for people and only vote for those that I truly know.

It is so crazy…I get an email that says something like: Hi Donna, I haven’t been in touch for a long time bla bla bla How in the heck would I vote for a person that I hardly know.

You deserve that vote and I hope you win. You have learned so much and taught us as you learn. Raena you are one of the top bloggers!

    Much Love

Thanks for your support. Gee with all the posts flying all over the place it will probably be a relief that it’s over in a couple of days! I’m working on getting better and more consistent…you know that is one of my “issues!” Our group has inspired me to do better. I’m getting there…THANKS Donna! You are awesome too and a great friend….maybe Texas?

      Hi Marquita,

We meet again! Thank you for your kind comments. You know I LOVE your blog too! It’s been a fun contest. It is based strictly on votes, and it is a challenge to beat some of the top competitors. My goal was to increase my spot from last year, which was #42 and I was thrilled to place! I think I’ve met my goal. We shall see in a couple of days! Have a nice holiday in beautiful Hawaii!

  10. Yes, Raena, you can be proud you made it in the top 50 last time around and I’m sure you’ll do even better this year. But if not, it’s really not a big deal either as we know that the value of a blogger or marketer is really not in this type of competitions. It’s better to take it like a game. If you win it’s great, if not, that’s OK too, right?

    Good luck to you 🙂

      Hi Sylviane,

My main goal this year is to increase my spot from last year. I think I already have so I reached my goal. It is like a game. I won’t be really high in the list, but that is okay. I’ve met some new bloggers and I’ve learned a lot by seeing what many other bloggers are doing. Wow, some are fantastic! They are great models for me. Of course our group has the best!

      Hi Joy,

Thank you for your visit to my blog. The contest is completed, and I placed 12th overall for the Top 50 Blogs Contest. I was very happy with 12th since I moved from the #42 position last year. This year there were 96 entries and it was a great way to meet many new and seasoned bloggers! Happy New Year!
